Jed Adcock intends to go about his business as usual, despite having the added responsibility of now being Brisbane Lions Co-Captain.

Adcock, who will share the leadership duties alongside “great mate” Jonathan Brown, says he will approach this season no different than he has in the past.

“I’ll let (Brown) do what he does and I get to sit in the background and go about my football the way that I always have,” Adcock told Fox Footy’s 360 program.

“I don’t think much will change.”

“Off the field, I guess I’ll be given all the jobs Browny doesn’t want to do – he’ll be going off to the movie premieres and I’ll be the one doing the footy clinics and media requests,” he laughed.

Adcock’s pride in the Club was clearly visible when he fronted the media on Wednesday and spoke passionately about how he intends to continue driving the team’s standards and values.

“It’s an honour to lead such a great club, particularly one with so much tradition from Fitzroy and Brisbane Bears,” Adcock said.

“I’ll continue trying to present myself in the best way possible to the players, help teach them the game plan, structures and style, and be professional in setting the standard off the field that drives it on-field.”
