THE SPECTRE of an in-form Charlie Dixon and a Port Adelaide side firing on all cylinders will provide a "stern test" for Brisbane, coach Chris Fagan says.
The third-placed Lions, who are riding a three-game winning streak, and unbeaten top team the Power meet at the Gabba on Saturday night in the best clash on paper in round five.
Memories are still strong of the way Port physically targeted Brisbane's gun onballer Lachie Neale in round 17 last year but Fagan said his Lions wouldn't get caught up in all that.
"I feel really confident we're more than a one-man team – our midfield runs pretty deep – so we'll let them decide that. If they want to do it, so be it," he said.
"We'll just attack the ball really strongly and try and play our best footy, which we'll need to, because they're in brilliant form, Port Adelaide.
"(In) every element of the game they are going well. They're scoring heavily, they're defending extremely well, they're great at stoppages and clearances, they have a big power forward (Dixon) who's in red-hot form.
"What's their percentage? 200 and something? That's extraordinary after four rounds (but) I always think, 'If we want to be the best, we've got to beat the best' – and they're clearly the best at the moment."
All-Australian full-back Harris Andrews is as good as certain to be Dixon's minder.
Fagan was unfussed about a report that star forward Charlie Cameron, who is contracted through next season, might be looking to go elsewhere if his financial demands aren't met.
"There are always rumour and innuendo around contract negotiations," he said.
"Charlie is a very important part of our footy club. He's very happy here and I'd be amazed if he isn't here for a long time."
