Join the Brisbane Lions for our After the Siren event happening on the field following Sunday’s return shoot-out with Carlton. Fans will be able to get photos and autographs with all their favourite Lions, buy club merchandise and win one of four $50 Cadbury hampers.

More importantly, we need 3,000 members and supporters to join the players in creating a giant lion emblem on the field for a major club photo shoot. You can watch the pre-programmed Grassads robot paint the 45 metre x 30 metre ‘lion people guideline’ straight after the post-match public ‘kick-to-kick’ session.

Not only will you get to pose with the players and see yourself on Lions publications and posters next year, but you’ll also receive a thank-you chocolate bar from our good friends at Cadbury after the shoot. The toughest task will be choosing between a Picnic, Crunchie, Flake or Cherry Ripe.

Obviously marshalling 3,000 people into shape and getting the photo lighting and focus just right with our photographer perched high above the field on the catwalk gantry can be tough. So your time, patience and personal space invasion will be much appreciated – unless of course you bag the lion’s tail or tooth! Richard ‘Champs’ Champion will be on stage to keep you entertained throughout and mascot Bernie ‘Gabba’ Vegas wouldn’t miss being in the shot for quids!

And don’t worry about losing your place in the After the Siren signature queue with the Lions players. All attendees will be given a ticket number corresponding to their place in the line and this will be your raffle number for those Cadbury hamper prizes.

The autographs won’t commence till after the photo shoot anyway as some of the players are involved of course. So if you want to show the world who you support in 2008 – join the mighty Gabba 3,000 this Sunday afternoon.

Please note, kiosks in Sections 30 and 31 will remain open if you need food or drinks between the end of the match and the start of the photo shoot.

Approximate schedule:

Match concludes: 3:45pm - Go Lions!!!

Players depart field: 3:45-3:50pm

Public ‘kick-to-kick’ on Gabba: 3:50-4pm

Field cleared: 4-4:10pm

After the Siren set-up and lion shape painted: 4:10-5pm

Lion shape photo taken: 5-5:10pm

After the Siren autographs and photos commence: 5:15pm
