Contrary to some media reports, the Brisbane Lions are still among the few clubs interested in securing the services of Adelaide forward Kurt Tippett during next week’s Trade Period.

National Talent Manager Rob Kerr told The Courier Mail on Wednesday that the Lions had not yet ruled themselves out of attempting to lure Tippett back home to Queensland.

"We've been in contact with his management over the last few days,'' Kerr said.

"We certainly haven't been told that we are not (in the hunt).''

The Lions remain tight-lipped about what they could offer the Crows in exchange for the 25 year-old should he choose the River City as his preferred destination.

"I'm not inclined to speculate too much at the moment on what we'd give up. It's something we'll think about if we come to that point where we have discussions with Adelaide,'' Kerr said.

Even though the rumour mill is expected to head into overdrive during the Trade Period, fans can be rest assured that the Lions won’t be willing to execute any trades that might jeopardise the Club’s exciting future.
