Training was short and sharp as per usual on the day before a game. The only problem was that we got stranded out at the stadium for about two hours waiting for the team bus which never turned up.

We all had to jump in taxis to get back to the hotel which was about 30 minutes away - but the trip only cost us about seven Australian dollars. Taxis are pretty cheap over here, but it was a long two hours sitting there waiting for the bus.

In the afternoon, Jack and I did our usual thing and went shopping. All the boys have been into us about the amount of stuff we’ve bought over here, but we’ll be the ones having the last laugh when we get back home with all this new gear for very cheap prices.

My favourite item would have to be a leather jacket which I bought for my Mum. She’ll be over the moon and I might move back up to being her favourite son after this.

Last night we had our pre-game meal which was just some pizza and pasta at the hotel and then Jack and I went and had a Chinese massage. It was very relaxing and helped me fall straight asleep prior to the big game.
