Junior Clinic a hit with the kids
The Club’s annual Victorian Junior Members Clinic was held at the Brunswick Street Oval on Sunday 1 May
The venue itself provided a historic backdrop as some of the Lions players took to the field to teach the kids some of the basic skills of the game.
Ruckman Broc McCauley drew the short straw and spent the morning having ‘speccies’ taken over him while Daniel Merrett got his group down and dirty with the tackle bag.
Long-time Lions member and PE teacher Anthony Panou looked after the coordination of the clinic which was largely regarded as the best in recent memory.
Following the events, the junior fans had some ‘question time’ with some of the big names including Jonathan Brown who was bluntly asked by one small supporter - “How’s your face?”
Those in attendance were also treated to some Four’N Twenty pies courtesy of Patties Foods and went home with plenty of photos, autographs and memories.
The Club would like to thank everyone involved in helping put together a wonderful event. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
