Please find below an edited transcript from what was said during the Q&A session.

Dayne Zorko: Hi guys, Dayne here. Shoot me your questions.

Liam: What was the toughest thing about your journey to become a Lions player?

Dayne Zorko: Good question Liam, the toughest thing about my journey thus far was probably adjusting to the training loads at pre-season

James: Hey Zorks, love your work this year. When is Patty K going to get a game? He’s going to be a superstar!

Dayne Zorko: Hey James, not to sure when Patty K will get the call-up. I know he’s playing some great hard football in the Reserves, so hopefully not too far away

Lisa: Hi Dayne, is it true you were a plumber before you came to the Lions?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Lisa, that is NOT true. Haha

Zoe: Hey Dayne, what is it like playing next to the likes of Blacky and Browny?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Zoe, it’s an honour and thrill to play with two of the greatest players of all time

Matt: Hey Dayne, who are your best mates at the Club?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Matt, I get along with all the blokes really well, but probably Golby and Lester

Cal: Hey Dayne, was it always your goal to play in the AFL or were you content just to play your footy for Broadbeach?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Cal, it was always a dream to play in the AFL and finally it has come true

Jared: Is it hard not to get ahead of yourself, you've had such a terrific start to the season and everyone's on board the Zorko train... it must be easy to get carried away. How will you keep your feet on the ground?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jared good question. It’s not really hard. I’ve played a few good games, but that’s about it really. I’ve still got a lot of improvement to go.

Jason: Hi Dayne, great start to your career. Can you name any other players in the NEAFL who you think would make it at AFL level?

Dayne Zorko: Thanks Jason, I know of one guy named Matt Payne who I think is ready for it, he’d be a mature recruit, but would be very handy.

John: Dayne, I have you in my Supercoach and you’re killing it, keep it up! What’s Vossy like around the boys?

Dayne Zorko: Hey John, thanks a lot. He’s the Senior Coach so he doesn’t really get around us as much as the area coaches, but he always has a giggle in the corridor with the boys.

Chelsea: Hey Dayne, are any of the boys single?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Chelsea , yes plenty of them

Jack: Do you seeing yourself spending more time in the midfield in the future?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jack, yes hopefully as the season goes on I’d like to spend more time in there, but at the moment I’m just happy being in the side

Coops: Hey Dayne, playing great at the moment. Don’t reckon you'll be dropped all season! Who is the weirdest teammate?

Dayne Zorko: Thanks Coops, umm weirdest team mate would be Ryan Harwood

Mairead: Hey Dayne, do you live with any of the boys? Got any dirt?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Mairead, I live with Aaron Cornelius, but no dirt sorry

Nick: You have been outstanding so far this year Dayne! So happy to have you playing for the Lions. Just wondering what was the injury keeping you out of games early this season?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Nick, I had a hip injury but we still aren’t quite sure what the exact problem was

Kouma: Zork, you have become a bit of cult figure here in Melbourne. Told my mates you are a Dream Team ripper. Breath of fresh air to the team and love the way you go about it.

Dayne Zorko: Thanx Kouma

Di: Hi Dayne, love that you're in the team and playing so well. What are the key areas that you want to improve on at this time?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Di, key area for me is to continue working on my pressure inside 50

Di: So if it wasn't a plumber, what were you doing?

Dayne Zorko: Di, I was a bricklayer

Ben: Dayne, love watching you play this year. You've been one of our best every week since coming into the side. As a 15 year old playing in QLD, I was just wondering what you did as a Queensland footballer to separate yourself from everyone else. What did you work on the most?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Ben, excellent question. I just continued to work on my strengths which were kicking and clean hands and then worked my game around those

Mairead: I was at the game on Sunday and thought you boys didn’t play that bad considering the weather. Is it tough playing away from home with such little Lions support in the crowd?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Mairead, I thought we played some excellent football in the first half and just faded out late in quarters. The crowd is always good no matter where we play, we always know where our Lions supporters sit because they’re always the loudest

Tyler: Hey Dayne, what was your reaction like when you were drafted?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Tyler, I was in Bali on my footy trip with all my Broadbeach teammates , so you can just imagine what we were like

Matt: Dayne, what are some of your hobbies?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Matt, I really enjoy playing golf and shopping

Daniel: Hi Dayne. Daniel Rich is writing out recipes on the Lions website, Jack Redden recently twit-picced his home-made pasta (yes pasta from scratch), is there any player who doesn't know how to cook? What is your signature dish?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Daniel, I reckon a few of the younger boys struggle to cook and my signature dish is Ravioli

Trent: Hey Dayne, congrats on your recent success. You’re one of my favourite players :) What’s your favourite part of being a Brisbane Lion? Also, you seem like a great bloke

Dayne Zorko: Thanx Trent, my favourite part of being a Brisbane Lion is coming in to training every day and being surrounded by a great bunch of people

Elliot: Who is the best up and coming young gun in the forward line?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Elliot, I would have to say probably Josh Green or Cal Bartlett

Adam: Hey Dayne, the Lions have the Bulldogs and Melbourne next, I think they are games you guys can win. How do you think you and the boys will go? By the way I think you are great for our side and you add good speed in to the 50.

Dayne Zorko: Hey Adam, absolutely they are winnable games for us, and we will give it our best to ensure we get the four points in both games

Jack: Did you ever consider moving interstate to play in one of the more stronger state competitions (VFL/SANFL/WAFL)?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jack, I thought about it but considered not to because Gold Coast had a team and thought I had a greater chance there

Emily: Hey Dayne! Out of all the boys, who would be most likely caught listening to Justin Bieber or One Direction? Haha

Dayne Zorko: Hey Emily, probably Brad Harvey

Steve: Hi Dayne, was at the game on Sunday and you played great. How was it running out on the MCG for the first time?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Steve, it was an absolute honour, loved every minute of it

Goblin: Who has been your toughest opponent so far, and who do you model your game on?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Goblin, toughest opponent so far would have to be Delaney from North, and I model my game off Brent Harvey

Cat: Hey Tinka, any advice to any young up-and-comers out there?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Cat, best advice is to work on your strengths and persist

Jason: Hey Dayne, do you think the Lions can be a force in the AFL? And how soon? What positions do you think we need to draft for?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jason, yes I think we are capable of anything as we’re still such a young side

Jack: Is Goose a larrikin off the field?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jack, yeah Goose is pretty funny

Zo: I think up forward, Patty K and Jono Brown can form a pretty dangerous forward line, do you agree? And also, what is the feeling like when you kicked your first goal?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Zo, yes those two are a dangerous combination as are all our forwards with Browny guiding them around. I was shocked when I kicked my first goal, couldn’t believe it!

Shane: Who is the best FIFA player?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Shane, we had a FIFA tournament last month and Jordan Lisle won

Nick: With the Dogs playing average football this year, what do you guys feel your chances are of getting a win this week?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Nick, we know how important this game is on the weekend and we want the four points

Di: So who is the better cook - you or Ace??

Dayne Zorko: Hi Di, I’m the better cook, but don’t tell him that. Haha

Paul: Hey Dayne, how was the feeling of running onto the ground to play your first AFL game?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Paul, it was amazing, greatest feeling ever

Jason: Hi Dayne, earlier in the year I saw you at Jimboomba with Sam Docherty. He was having a friendly go at you knowing where all the Reserve-grade grounds are. You getting your own back now?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jason, I think Sam now knows where every State league club is. Haha

Cathy: Hi Dayne, great to see you and the other young guys playing well for the Lions. Hopefully this will build into some more good wins.

Nick: Hey Dayne, great addition to our forward line ;) What is your best advice for a 16 year old that is keen to make a career out of football. I just missed out on the final State team and am currently playing club footy and playing well.

Dayne Zorko: Hey Nick, keep working on your strengths and keep persisting

Andrew: Who is the loudest at the Club and the one who hardly ever talks?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Andrew, I’m probably the loudest at the Club, and Steven Wrigley is the quietest

Harrison: Hey Dayne which other young guys do you hang with at the Club?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Harrison, Mitch Golby, Ryan Lester, Ryan Harwood, Cal Bartlett, Josh Green, Ace

Aly: Hi Dayne, loving your game style, it’s very exciting. Which AFL player do you reckon you’re most similar too?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Aly, not quite sure but probably Brent Harvey

Jimmy: This is a funny question. What did you say to Rohan Bewick when both of you guys were running into the goal square in the game last weekend?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jimmy, I said go run in and kick it! Then once he kicked it, he said ‘oh, I should’ve given it’. But then I thought, nah I wanted the goal and we both laughed

Darren: Hi Dayne, have loved seeing you play this season. Who is your footy hero?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Darren, I grew up following St Kilda so Robert Harvey was my footy hero

Jimmy: Was the game against West Coast the best game you have been involved in?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Jimmy, I reckon it’s right up there. Was amazing and the crowd was so loud. Loved it!!!!

Steve Drake: What’s Andrew Raines like? Is he quiet?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Steve, Rainsey is very outgoing. Definitely not quiet

Kristian: The Club's Hall of Fame is this weekend - do you hope to one day be in there?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Kristian, I would love to be in it

Rach: Good Luck against the dogs this week!! I have a good feeling that we will win and I hope we do. GO LIONS!!!

Andrew: Where is your dream destination for a post season trip Zorks?

Dayne Zorko: Hey Andrew, not quite sure where we are going yet, a few places have been tossed around - Hong Kong, Thailand…

Nic: Can you let Andrew Raines know that he has a huge following at my school? All the girls love him here! Haha

Dayne Zorko: Hey Nic, yep will do

Thanks guys for all questions, sorry I couldn’t get through them all, have a good afternoon, GO LIONS!!!!!
