The Brisbane Lions have made just one change to the senior team ahead of Sunday’s clash against Hawthorn at the MCG.
20 year-old midfielder Ryan Harwood has been brought into the side to replace veteran defender Ash McGrath who has been forced to miss the match against the Hawks with a minor knee complaint.
Elliot Yeo, Patrick Kanezis and Cheynee Stiller, who were also added to Thursday’s preliminary 25-man squad, will be the team’s three emergencies.
The other notable absentee from the Lions’ Round 12 team is superstar midfielder Simon Black who has been given an extra week on the sidelines to recover from his knee injury.
Meanwhile, Lions ruckman Ben Hudson has been named in the senior team and will now line up for his 150th senior AFL match.
Hudson began his AFL career at the relatively mature age of 24, playing for both Adelaide (55 games) and the Western Bulldogs (88 games) before being traded to the Lions at the end of 2011.
The Lions’ final team to take on Hawthorn is as follows:
