As part of their joint interview with Sunshine Coast radio station Zinc 96.1FM on Wednesday, Lions defenders Daniel Merrett and Matt Maguire took part in an on-air compatibility quiz to determine how well they actually know each other.

Their responses to the five probing questions were as follows:

Q1: If your team-mate was to nominate a movie that best described you, would it be:
a) Pretty Woman
b) The Thing
c) Big Trouble in Little China

Maguire: Definitely c) - Big Trouble in Little China.

Merrett: The Thing.

Q2: What is your team-mates most treasured body part?

Maguire: It’s probably his tattooed swallow pectorals. They are a treat. He’s always getting them out. He even did a presser out on the beach yesterday just to make sure they got in camera.

Merrett: Matty’s most treasured body part would have to be his biceps. He is constantly in the gym, in front of the mirror, pumping his pythons up. I’m surprised he’s actually wearing a shirt today.

Q3: If your team-mate was to take you for an ideal night out, would it include:
a) tracky dacks at home on the couch watching Packed to the Rafters
b) glamorous fine dining with champagne and strawberries
c) Sizzler and soft serve ice-cream

Maguire: He’s a big boy Rog, so it would be Sizzler because there’s a buffet.

Merrett: Matty likes to wine and dine usually and loves good conversation, so I’ll go with b).

Q4: A fire rips through the house which you and your team-mate share, what possession would your team-mate grab first?

Maguire: Probably his iPod. He loves his music collection.

Merrett: Matty would probably grab his cowboy boots and his ‘Muscle Mate’.

Q5: If your team-mate’s life was made into a film, what actor would play them?

Maguire: Maybe Sean Connery from his Bond days. You’d have to get the beard out and maybe tint it a little bit.

Merrett: I reckon Matt Damon.
