The Brisbane Lions have named a debutant among the team to take on the West Coast Eagles this Sunday at Patersons Stadium.

Rookie Steve Wrigley is set to make his senior AFL debut after being named in the final 22-man team on Friday.

25 year-old Wrigley, the Club’s mid-season rookie elevation, was taken by the Lions as a mature-age recruit at last year’s AFL Rookie Draft after starring across half-back for local NEAFL club Labrador.

Interestingly, he also came to the Lions from a career in prosthetics and orthotics, where he still currently spends one day per week with patients fitting prosthetics.

Western Australian James Hawksley has also been named in the final team, with Sam Docherty, Claye Beams and Niall McKeever names as the emergencies for Sunday's clash.

Wrigley and Hawksley take the places of Aaron Cornelius and Jared Polec, who have both been omitted from the side that defeated Gold Coast by 11 points last Saturday evening.

The Lions final team for Round 18 is below:
