A golden opportunity
Jonathan Brown is looking forward to seeing who are among the inaugural Brisbane Lions Hall of Fame inductees next month.
Brown and his team-mates will join a host former Club greats at the Crown Palladium on Saturday 23 June to celebrate the absolute ‘best of the best’ from Fitzroy, the Bears and the merged Brisbane Lions.
“As an old Fitzroy boy myself, I’m really pumped for the night,” Brown told lions.com.au.
“I’ve been racking my brains for a while now trying to guess which past greats might be among the first to be inducted - but the Club is giving nothing away.”
“All I know is that it’s going to be a very exclusive group - so it’s likely there will be some absolute champions of the game who might miss out first time around.”
The Lions players will sit and dine among those fans who have opted to purchase Gold tickets for the event.
All Gold ticket guests will enjoy the ultimate Hall of Fame experience - including an exclusive pre-event VIP cocktail function mingling with players and coaches (both past and present), premium seating nearest to the stage, and having two current Lions players/coaches seated at their table.
There will also be the opportunity for some of the Gold ticket guests to present a Hall of Fame inductee with their award on the night!
“It’s not often that us players and coaches get the chance to sit and have dinner with fans at such a big Club event,” Brown said.
“No doubt we’ll be spending most of the night trying to predict who might, and might not, get inducted. That alone should generate plenty of healthy discussion.”
Only limited tickets remain for the Hall of Fame event, including room for just two more Gold tables.
Gold tickets are $650 per person, or $5,000 for a table of eight (remaining two spots will be taken up by Lions players/coaches).
Meanwhile, limited blue tickets are still available for $180, but are also close to selling out.
