Maguire collected a career-high 27 disposals and took 10 marks in the team’s win against Port Adelaide last Saturday afternoon to lead all Lions with 111 Dream Team points for Round 3.
He now ranks 6th overall at the Club in total Dream Team points across the first three games with 242.
Considering Dream Team coaches could select Maguire at the modest price tag of just $101,700 at the beginning of the season, it’s little wonder he is one of the more popular players in the 2010 competition.
In fact, the Lions recruit appears in a total of 97,183 Dream Teams making him the 10th most popular selection among all AFL players this year.
He has more than repaid the faith with a solid start to the season.
After averaging a touch over 80 points in his first three matches, Maguire’s value has risen $60,700 making him the third most improved player in the Dream Team competition behind Fremantle’s Michael Barlow and Hawthorn’s Carl Peterson.
Meanwhile in the Lions’ Dream Team competition, Jed Adcock rose 78 places to move back into the top 100 after an impressive score of 2,013 in Round 3. David Spencer and his team ‘absolutedevast8ion’ had the highest total for the week with 2,162 .
Julie Johnstone (coach of ‘Stripes’) has taken the overall lead with a total of 6,398 from the first three rounds while Chris White and Chris Ristatsis both consistently remain among the top five.
Registered Dream Teamers must remember to check their teams prior to the Round 4 lockout at 7:30pm this Friday night.
