Aaron Cornelius: Hey Guys! Ace here, how about this wet weather!

Guest: Terrible weather, mate. How are you guys managing training in the wet?

Aaron Cornelius: It’s been hard to kick holding an umbrella!

Dan: Hey Ace. Tell me about it! Does the rain mean you're saved from another 3k run?

Aaron Cornelius: Hey Dan, I'm sure that they will get us at some stage, although I have improved my time in a kayak!

Dan: Kayak...cheaper than taking the bus I guess. I hear you've been training the house down this pre-season. Seen much improvement in your 3k times?

Aaron Cornelius: Seen improvement in my fitness across the board and we don't train in a house so I haven't been able to do that!

Ian: How have you guys in the forwards been working with Harvs?

Aaron Cornelius: Harvs has been good, has a different aspect on the forward line.

Ace Fan: G’Day Ace - with yourself, Jonathan Brown, Patty K, Bryce Retzlaff, Jordan Lisle and Ryan Lester we have plenty of tall timber up forward. Will the Lions play 4 talls up forward this year?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi there, in the structure there are spots for 3 talls and it's good to have competition for those spots

Kylie: Hey Ace, been hot and 37 down here in Adelaide the past few days! I was wondering what your personal goals are for this season?

Aaron Cornelius: Personal goals are to play between 15 and 20 games, and show improvement in aspects of my game.

Joe: Hey Ace, How's your fitness improved from last year? Late in the quarters we could see you were struggling a little! Also will we see more of you in the forward line this year?

Aaron Cornelius: Hey Joe, fitness has improved. Hopefully in the forward line kicking snags!

Lea: Hi Ace, You booted a combined total of 56 goals last year. Technically the best for the club. Congratulations, you must be pleased with that? What was your best haul in a game back in Tasmania?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Lea, the 56 goals was only kicked in the reserves, so the players are kicking the seniors count a bit more. Biggest haul I had was 13 goals.

Glen: Hi Aaron. Hope to see you as a permanent forward this year. This time last year they were trying to make you a defender. You are ideally suited to the full forward role. Good hands great kick.

Aaron Cornelius: Thanks Glen, marking is a feature of my game

Gil: Aaron, have put any muscle on over the preseason?

Aaron Cornelius: Yeah, I've been working with Arnie, can't fit through doors.
On a serious note; yes, I have improved.

Abby: Hey Aaron, thank you for signing my photo that was given to you on B&F night, I really appreciate it. How has training been for you this year and what is your main goal for 2012. I really like watching you play, good luck for 2012. Cheers Abby

Aaron Cornelius: Hey Abby, my goal for this year is to play consistent senior football. Anything for the fans!

Nick: I’ve always wondered, do you prefer Centre Half Forward or Full Forward? Any reasons?

Aaron Cornelius: Yes Nick, Full Forward. I like having space in the forward 50.

AnonLion: What’s one thing you’d like to adapt to your game?

Aaron Cornelius: An aerobic ability to run out games. To get the commentators off my back!

Kylie: Haha Ace - I’m loving your comedy!

Aaron Cornelius: Thanks Kylie, I’m here until 1!

Dennis: Who is going to be our most improved (breakout) player this year?

Aaron Cornelius: Hey Dennis, I believe his name is Aaron Cornelius! Billy Longer will be rookie of the year.

Dom: Hey Aaron, which nickname do you prefer, Ace or Acorn?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Dom, happy that you brought that question up! I did not fall from a tree, therefore I prefer Ace!

Jack: Hey Ace. What’s the latest on your iPod at the moment?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Jack, Johnny Cash features heavily, and a little bit of the Wiggles!

B3: Do you think that Barack Obama will win the US Presidential Election?

Aaron Cornelius: Only if I don’t run for it!

Dom: Any chance we’ll see you join the ranks of Lions Players on Twitter?

Aaron Cornelius: Maybe, only because you asked nicely - watch this space!

Dan: Did you Dad play footy Ace? (Just wondering if you feel far from the tree…)

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Dan, my father played a lot of footy and got requested to play for Carlton, but decided to stay home and get an apprenticeship. But he does like to tell me how good he was!

Abby: Have you ever through about doing a comedy show?

Aaron Cornelius: Due to training commitments I had to turn down the Melbourne comedy festival.

Dan: Have you always had buckets for hands, or was there some surgical grafting? Seriously though...you’re marking skills - natural, or learned? If learned, any tips?

Aaron Cornelius: Hey Dan, it’s a costly procedure done in Eastern Europe.

Dom: One more - what are your favourite TV shows?

Aaron Cornelius: Favourite TV shows are South Park, Big Bang Theory, European Darts Tournament and any other sports that are on at the time. Phil Taylor is my idol.

SB: When you’re playing days are over, what would you rather host; a Footy show or a fishing show?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi SB, fishing show for sure. Hope you have a hook up... excuse the pun!

Gracie: Hi Aaron - my mum says you're one the best Lions players. We come to watch every time you play at home - I really hope that I can get your autograph this year.

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Gracie, your Mum is a good lady, she knows her football! Get down to a training session and I will be sure to sign it!

The Uncle: Ace, which Lions players would you suggest for SuperCoach?

Aaron Cornelius: You can't go past Tom Rockliff as an accumulator of the ball. But for value for money I would choose Pearce Hanley.

DJ: Hey Aaron, a lot of negative talk about your defensive pressure in the forward half last year. How have you improved this facet of your game and what is 2012 looking like for you at this stage.

Aaron Cornelius: Hi DJ, all publicity is good publicity but I have worked on that aspect of my game. It was more of an endurance capability, but I feel fitter and stronger this season.

AnonLion: Quick question before you leave - Roger Federer, Nadal or Djokovic for the Aussie Open?

Aaron Cornelius: Federer - he has been an amazing champion and is the most graceful one out of the lot! Plus he paid me to say that.

Kylie: Which AFL player(s) did you admire growing up?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Kylie, I admired Tony Lockett and Robert Harvey growing up.

Alistair: Had any practical jokes been played on you? If so, what was the worst?

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Alistair, my father was cutting wood with a chainsaw once and as I bent down to pick up a log, he put the back end of the chain saw on my bottom and hit the throttle. I thought I backed onto the chain and jumped 10 feet in the air!

Aaron Cornelius: Hi Guys, going home to furnish my house. Feel free to send anything my way! Great chatting with you all, thanks for the questions that easily set me up for humour.

Remember the nickname is ACE, not acorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look forward to seeing you all either at training or a game.

Cheers! Ace
