The Brisbane Lions have named their team to take on Richmond this Saturday night at the MCG, with two changes to this week’s squad.

Defender Matt Maguire returns from a quad injury, while in-form youngster Claye Beams has been recalled from the Reserves.

Maguire, who came to the Lions at the end of 2009 from St Kilda, battled a quad injury from late in the pre-season and has missed the first five rounds.

Maguire will join a strong back line including the likes of Jed Adcock, Ash McGrath, and Daniel Merrett, who last week broke the AFL record for the amount of spoils in a game with 19.

Merrett will be looking to shut down Richmond gun forward Jack Riewoldt, who is currently in second place in the Coleman Medal count with 16 goals from five games.

2011 debutant Claye Beams also returns for the Lions, with a stellar performance for the Lions Reserves against Southport last weekend earning him a spot in the senior side this week.

Young forward Rohan Bewick does not feature in the team’s lineup after a minor hip injury forced him to be substituted off early in last week’s match against St Kilda, while Aaron Cornelius has also been omitted.

Matthew Leuenberger has been named as the side’s full forward, with recently elevated rookie Broc McCauley set to shoulder the Lions’ ruck load.

The full Lions team for Round 6 is as follows:
