The Brisbane Lions Reserves will wlecome back a wealth of senior listed players for this Sunday's QAFL clash with the Western Magpies at Chelmer.
The Western Magpies have been unlucky in recent weeks having been in winning positions against both Aspley and Redland, but have been unable to get over the line. In fact, the Magpies are still searching for their first win since re-entering the QAFL in 2009.
Meanwhile, the Lions are in desperate need for the four points after losing their past three matches. The Lions currently sit at 1-3 having played one extra game courtesy of their Split Round 11 fixture being scheduled at the beginning of the season.
The Lions will be buoyed by the timely return of some quality senior players including Vice-Captain Jed Adcock who is set to play his first game since hurting his quad in the team's Round 2 win over Carlton.
Adcock has missed three matches with the injury and will be eased back through the Reserves.
Classy left-footer Cheynee Stiller is also listed for a comeback from injury this week while James Hawksley, Albert Proud and Tom Rockliff will be welcome additions after being omitted from this week's senior side.
Hawksley, Proud and Rockliff have been stellar performers in the QAFL over the past two seasons and will cause headaches for the Magpies.
Sam Sheldon will also be looking to step up this week after playing half a game in last week's loss to Broadbeach. Sheldon missed a large chank of the pre-season - and the first month of the QAFL season - with a back injury.
Also better for last week's run will be key position prospects Bryce Retzlaff and Bart McCulloch who have both overcome injuries over the pre-season.
The Lions will face the Western Magpies at 2pm this Sunday at Chelmer.
Reserves buoyed by senior boost
A host of talented Lions senior players will return for the Lions Reserves Round 4 QAFL match this weekend.
