In today’s information age, news spreads faster and is more immediate than ever before.

For instance, the news of Jonathan Brown’s recent training incident was first broken on Twitter, well before being featured on any other news website - including lions.com.au.

It has proven a revolutionary tool for communication, and the Lions encourage all members and supporters to join our 6,500 other ‘followers’ in keeping updated on Club news as it happens.

Among other things, Lions Twitter followers will receive LIVE scores and updates from matches (including non-broadcast pre-season games), as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes content and images from within the Club that you won’t find anywhere else.

The Club also regularly ‘re-tweets’ some of the more entertaining posts that come directly from the Lions players themselves.

In fact, 24 Lions players have their own Twitter account, with each providing great insight into their lives outside of the Club.

Brent Staker has so far proven the most popular Lions player among the Twitter community with close to 4,000 followers, although Tom Rockliff is quickly making up some ground.
