It’s hard to go past Bart’s BMW but one of our former players, Jared Brennan, had one of the worst cars of all time. He had a silver Monaro with home-painted black rims. It was just black paint from Bunnings.

Question: How has the team training program changed from last year to this year and have you noticed the benefits?
The training program has changed a bit this year. Brett Burton has whipped the boys into shape so I think in the first couple of rounds you will notice the benefits from the players running a lot harder and running out the end of games.

I’d say young Simon Black just keeps getting better. He still can’t grow a moustache or beard for the last 32 years so I still count him as a young’un. He’ll probably get a senior game. Other than that, Billy Longer has impressed me.

Hi Aaron. I don’t know if you’ll see me up forward this year. I’m starting off in the backline anyway. We’ll see what the big redhead (Dan Merrett) and the other little redhead (Todd Banfield) can do down there in the forward line while Browny’s out so it’ll be interesting to see who kicks the most goals out of me and Toddy.

Yeah, the media department have really stitched me up there. It’s probably because I always run away when they try to get me to come and answer my questions. The worst head in the team would have to be probably a draw out of Joel Patfull and Josh Green.

Hi Lee. Dayne’s just getting over his hip so we’ll see him running around pretty soon. It’s good to see Toby standing up for his teammate when others wouldn’t so it’s not good, all the flack he’s copped.

We’re looking forward to the start of the season. When you come up against an old teammate nothing really changes - he’s in another jumper so you just treat him like any other player out there and shake his hand at the end. Once he’s in a different jumper he’s not part of us anymore.
