FAST FOOTY FACTS
The merged Brisbane Lions are one of only three teams to have never won a pre-season competition together with the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle. However, the Club has won two pre-season premierships with Fitzroy in 1959 and 1978.

The Lions have twice made it through to the Grand Final of the pre-season competition since the 1997 merger - in 2001 against Port Adelaide and in 2007 against Carlton.

The Lions defeated St Kilda in their NAB Cup opener last year at Gold Coast Stadium before narrowly going down to Essendon in the second round of the elimination tournament at Etihad Stadium.

Lions Vice-Captain Luke Power has played more matches in the pre-season competition than any other current Lions player with 28, while new recruit Brendan Fevola ranks second with 26 pre-season games.

Lions full-forward Brendan Fevola has booted the second-most goals in the history of the AFL pre-season competition with a total of 98 (including three nine-point super goals). He remains 18 goals shy of former Hawthorn champion Jason Dunstall's record of 116 goals in the pre-season competition.

Fevola also holds the record for most goals in an official pre-season match with 12 goals for Carlton against Collingwood back in 2000.
