With five players hitting significant milestones in their rehab, Head Coach Chris Fagan may have some selection headaches ahead.
Noah Answerth played his first game in almost three months on Saturday when he lined-up in a reserves scratch match against Gold Coast at Yeronga.
High Performance Coach Damien Austin said it was expected all three would be available in the coming weeks.
“Noah played the whole game and got through without any problems so from here it is just about building on his match fitness,’’ he said.
The popular small defender was last seen at AFL level in Round 17 against Sydney last year, before a groin injury ruled him out for the remainder of the year.
In another boost for the club, Jarrod Berry and Jack Payne have both stepped-up their running loads and will push for selection after the bye.
“And Jarrod and Jack are both running well and should be available after the bye.’’
It means there are reinforcements on the horizon for Senior Coach Chris Fagan with Lachie Neale and Ryan Lester also closing in on a return.
