The AFL earlier this week advised all Vic-based VFL and VFLW matches will not proceed as planned as a result of the COVID lockdown.
However, VFL matches will be played in Queensland and New South Wales between non-Victorian clubs as the AFL continues to navigate through a moving fixture to ensure games are played.
The Brisbane Lions will face the Aspley Hornets at Graham rd 1:05pm on Saturday, June 5. Crowds are welcome at the game.
The game will be shown live and free on Kayo Freebies.
In a practice match against the Hornets earlier this year, Tom Berry sealed a miraculous 1-point victory with a goal before the siren.
Ely Smith also booted three goals and gathered 14 disposals in just the first half of the match.
In what's sure to be an already exciting match, our VFL players will face off against a number of former teammates, now playing for the Hornets.
Ryan Bastinac, Corey Lyons, Jacob Allison, Matthew Hammelmann, Jonathan Freeman, Matt Eagles and Liam Dawson.
