Ryan Lester and Callum Ah Chee completed a full training session on the Gabba on Tuesday and are available for selection in the side to take on the Western Bulldogs in Saturday’s semi-final at the Gabba.
Lester missed the qualifying final loss to Melbourne with hamstring awareness while Ah Chee was sidelined with a groin problem.
Lions High performance manager Damien Austin said Lester came very close to being available last week while scans had cleared Ah Chee of any major issue and he was now back in full training.
“They are both available for selection, they have been through some solid sessions and pulled up fine so we will make them available,’’ he said.
“Cal just pulled up with a bit of a sore groin, when he kicked it gave him a bit of a pinch so we played it safe but he got through fine this week.
The Lions will need to make one change to the side that travelled to Adelaide with forward Dan McStay ruled out under the AFL’s concussion protocols.
He was back at training on Tuesday and Austin said he was recovering well from the clash with teammate Nakia Cockatoo.
“He copped a fair whack from Nakia’s knee so he will go through the concussion protocols for the next 12 days,’’ he said.
“But he has pulled up well, he’s a bit bumped and bruised but he will be ok.’’
