There were plenty of positives to come out of Thursday night’s win against the Western Bulldogs, but Brisbane Lions Midfield Coach Dale Tapping says that the thing that pleased him most was Lions’ ability to execute the game plan.
“Our performance on Thursday night was really impressive in terms of how we executed our game plan,” Tapping told LionsTV.
“Our effort and pressure at the contest was really pleasing.
“You could just see the growth throughout the playing group.”
Tapping said that the Lions were able to ‘play their way’ despite being challenged for a lot of the game. He was also excited to see how his group, the midfielders, were able to execute their game style.

“The way we executed our game style was really strong,” Tapping said.
“(I’m) really pleased with our mids, how organised they were and feedback from the players was that the communication was really good.
Tapping also said that the midfield benefited from the return of Captain Dayne Beams, who showed great polish, touch and composure in his return.
“We’re a better team for him being out there.”
