The AFL advises it has updated the fixture for Round Six of the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition.
Matchups remain the same, however, changes have been made to the timeslots of each game to ensure adequate days’ break for teams as a result of recent changes to the fixture.
Updates will see:
- The Gold Coast SUNS vs. Geelong Cats match originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, February 13 will now be played on Friday, February 11.
- The Melbourne vs. GWS GIANTS match originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, February 13 will now be played on Saturday, February 12.
- The St Kilda vs. Brisbane Lions match originally scheduled to be played on Friday, February 11 will now be played on Sunday, February 13.
- The West Coast Eagles vs. Collingwood match originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, February 12 will now be played on Sunday, February 13.
AFL General Manager Competition Management Laura Kane said:
“While the ongoing pandemic continues to impact and challenge our competition and our wider community, we want to thank every AFLW Club, players and the AFLPA, umpires, venues, governments, ticketing agents and all supporters for their understanding and commitment to the 2022 NAB AFLW Competition for their ongoing commitment to the season.
“The fixture remains a week-to-week proposition and the AFL will continue to work closely with respective state governments and health authorities on arrangements that both protects the health and safety of the community and allows us to progress the NAB AFLW season."
