The Brisbane Lions Round Six match against St. Kilda this Sunday will mark 168 days since the Brisbane Lions Club has had a fixture in Victoria.
It's been so long between drinks that the Club is yet to officially celebrate their inaugural AFLW Premiership with Victorian members.
That all changes this weekend when the Brisbane Lions will host an informal post-match event for Victorian fans and members, giving them the opportunity to get up close and personal with the 2021 AFLW Premiership Cup.
Where: Sandringham Club, 92 Beach Rd, Sandringham.
When: 3:30pm - 4:30pm, Sunday 13th February
Cost: Free
Brisbane Lions Victoria Manager, Sam Lord said, "Border closures and lockdowns have made it increasingly hard for our dedicated Victorian members to attend games and connect with the Club. So we're very excited to be able to finally put something on to celebrate the amazing achievement of our women's team, and get some facetime with our members."
Premiership Assistant Coach and former Brisbane Lions player, Brent Staker, will also be on hand at the event for photo opportunities and to share a few yarns from the amazing day.
Unfortunately due to current COVID-19 restrictions our current players and coaching staff will not be able to attend, but they'll be there in spirit!
They'll also be donning the Fitzroy-inspired guernsey on Saturday for the first time since 2020!
