The Brisbane Lions have broken their membership record for the second year in a row, reaching 40,453 members to date in 2022.
The milestone comes off the back of sustained on-field performances from both our AFL and AFLW sides since 2017 that have seen both sides consistently make finals and in the women’s case, win a Premiership.
The club has seen a 90% increase in its membership total since 2017 with strong results in both AFLW memberships, an all-time record again this year, and Victorian memberships which increased 71% since 2017.
Off the back of a difficult two years as we navigated the Covid-19 pandemic, Lions fans have come out in droves as live football returned to the Gabba, MCG and Marvel.
With an ambition of 50,000 members, the Club is well on the way to achieving this, with the help of our wonderful fans.
Lions CEO Greg Swann paid thanks to the growing legion of fans who supported the club by becoming members.
“Thank you for your ongoing support and being part of this significant milestone,” Swann said.
“Our members are the life blood of this great club, and we don’t take a single one for granted.
“We can always count on the maroon, blue and gold army to show up and get along to games whenever possible. Thank you for being a part of another record-breaking year for this great Club.”
You can go All In in 2022 by becoming a Brisbane Lions member now from as little as $70.
