The AFL is pleased to announce the full fixture for Rounds One to 15 of the 2023 Toyota AFL Premiership Season fixture, along with the Rounds, match ups and venues of the remaining nine rounds.

The showpiece Thursday and Friday Nights timeslots are spread across all of the key states including games at MCG, Marvel Stadium, SCG, The Gabba, Adelaide Oval and Optus Stadium. Across the first 15 rounds, Carlton (seven), the Brisbane Lions (six) and Geelong (five) feature across the Thursday and Friday Night marquee timeslots.
Round Four and Easter weekend once again opens with a Brisbane and Collingwood epic at the Gabba on a Thursday night.
‘Gather Round… A festival of footy’ takes over South Australia in Round Five with all 18 clubs playing a match in the state for Premiership points.
Sir Doug Nicholls Round will once again be played across two Rounds (10 & 11) and includes marquee games in Sydney, Darwin, Adelaide, and the annual Dreamtime at the ‘G event.
Queensland rivals Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast SUNS match up at the Gabba for the first in the season in Round 10.
The 2023 fixture will see the bye rounds will be spread across the four weekends in June – Round 12 to 15 (each team will still have only one BYE).
The fixture as it stands confirms that the Brisbane Lions will continue to play the biggest teams in the competition right at home at the Gabba in the biggest time slots, while also having six games locked in for Victorian fans and members, which hasn't been able to happen since before COVID.
While all information has been locked in for Round 1-15, the AFL has opted to have the final section of the fixture to remain floating, with rounds 16-23 details to be confirmed 4-6 weeks out.
