Experienced defender Daniel Rich has been named in the Brisbane Lions side to take on North Melbourne at Mount Barker on Saturday as part of the AFL's Gather Round in Adelaide.
The 270-game veteran missed the past two matches with a quad injury, though has been given the green light after completing a full week of training.
Ruckman Darcy Fort has also been selected after a best-on-ground performance in the VFL last weekend. The Lions tall kick three goals as well as recorded 30 hit outs and 11 clearances.
Fort's inclusion gives coach Chris Fagan both an extra ruckman to assist Oscar Mclnerney and an additional forward option if needed.
Brisbane has made a further three changes with veteran triple premiership player Jack Gunston (managed), Jaxon Prior (omitted) and Deven Robertson (sub) out of last week’s team.
The four emergencies for Round 5 are Prior, Cal Ah Chee, Jarryd Lyons and Tom Fullarton, with one of them set to take the 23rd spot in the Lions team.
