The Brisbane Lions have made four changes ahead of Saturday afternoon’s VFL matchup with the Southport Sharks.

The Lions will welcome back Darcy Gardiner from injury, as he looks towards AFL selection in the coming weeks.

Gardiner has overcome an off-season ankle issue and will make his return to football through the VFL.

After a dominant performance last week, Brisbane will be looking to remain unbeaten and conquer the Sharks for the first time in three years.

Jaxon Prior and Deven Robertson will return to the VFL for the match while Bruce Reville will make his first appearance for the Lions in 2023.

Shadaeu Brain and Blake Coleman are unavailable this week due to injury, Lockie Rayner has made way for the returning Gardiner while Darcy Fort has been elevated to the AFL.

Lions fans are encouraged to get amongst the action at Brighton Homes Arena with the first bounce at 12:05pm AEST.

The AFL Round 5 match between the Lions and North Melbourne will be shown on the big screen. Bounce for that game is at 1:10pm local time.
