The Brisbane Lions will welcome back Darcy Gardiner and Noah Answerth for their VFL clash against Essendon on Sunday.
Gardiner will play his second VFL game for the year as he continues his build back from an off-season ankle injury.
Answerth returns to boost an already star-studded midfield after being omitted from the AFL side.
Tahj Abberley and Kyle Dunkley will make way, both have been named as emergencies for the Mother’s Day match-up.
The Lions return to Brighton Homes Arena after prevailing over Carlton last week by 4 points.
It continues VFL coach, Ben Hudson’s perfect start to his coaching career with the Lions undefeated through seven rounds.
Lions fans are encouraged to get amongst the action at Brighton Homes Arena with the first bounce at 12:05pm AEST.
