The Brisbane Lions will make at least two changes to its team to face Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Sunday as they look to record their first win of the 2024 season.
Conor McKenna will make his anticipated return with the defender named in Brisbane’s squad after overcoming a hamstring strain which occurred in an intra-club match during the pre-season.
Also included to the squad are former Western Australian local Deven Robertson and utility Noah Answerth.
The Lions have however confirmed co-captain Lachie Neale will not face the Dockers due to hamstring tightness.
Neale will benefit from having extra time to freshen up his body with the Lions having the bye next week before the midfielder returns to take on Collingwood in the Easter Thursday blockbuster.
Keidean Coleman is the other confirmed out for the Lions after the defender ruptured his ACL in last week’s Opening Round match against Carlton.
The Lions extended interchange also includes Kai Lohmann, Callum Ah Chee, Jack Payne, James Tunstill, Darcy Fort and Zac Bailey.
