The Brisbane Lions AFLW team will play their first official game on The Gabba soil in less than two weeks’ time, when they take on the Gold Coast SUNS in the final QW Winter Series match.
The Lions will be hoping to make it three from three in the QW Winter Series against the SUNS after two convincing wins on the Gold Coast and in Mackay.

Bounce is at 2pm, with free transport via Brisbane City Council buses and Queensland Rail. The lower seating bowl with be available, with all seats General Admission.
Jessica Wuetschner, an inaugural Lions AFLW player and superstar of the game, is itching to run out onto the Gabba turf.
“Just training out there was awesome, so I’m excited to play,” she said.
“Woosh” has attended most home games for the Lions men’s team this year.
“I feel like especially this year the atmosphere is amazing,” she said.
“I’ve never been so into footy this year as I have been watching the boys play at The Gabba.
“I hope we get a big crowd to cheer us on.”
