Newly committed father/son selection, Levi Ashcroft will play his first game in Brisbane Lions colours on Sunday against GWS GIANTS at Brighton Homes Arena.

Ashcroft and the Club formally agreed to selecting the 17-year-old in the upcoming AFL National Draft, he will now run out alongside future teammates at VFL level this weekend.

Joining Ashcroft will be Luke Lloyd who returns from a calf injury which saw him miss the last two VFL games.

Kyle Dunkley returns from injury, Will Martyn is set to play his first game at VFL level since Round 11 and former GIANT, now Lions development coach, Daniel Lloyd, will line up against his old club.

Carter Michael and Brandon Ryan are unavailable for selection through injury while midfielder Jimmy Tunstill remains in concussion protocols after suffering a knock during the Lions 23-point win over Carlton last week.

Academy products Sam Marshall and Tom Gillett have been omitted.

Fans are encouraged to get down to Brighton Homes Arena for the first bounce at 11:05am.
