The Brisbane Lions VFL side will take on Werribee at Avalon Airport Oval this Saturday in the Smithy’s VFL Preliminary Final.
The match is the third consecutive preliminary finals appearance for the Lions who are chasing a spot in their first VFL Grand Final.
Ben Hudson’s squad will be seeking revenge on the 2024 minor Premiers as it was the Tigers who in 2023 beat the Lions in the penultimate match last season.
The match will be broadcast live and free on the Seven Network via 7mate in Victoria and 7plus nationally.
The matches will also be live streamed on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App with the bounce scheduled for 11:00AM AEST.
The 2024 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final will be played at IKON Park on Sunday, September 22 at 2:15pm unless the Lions and Southport Sharks are both competing.
In the event of the two Queensland-based teams reaching the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final, the match will be played on Sunday, September 22 in Queensland.

Admission prices for the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Finals Series are as follows:
For matches played in Victoria during Wildcard Round through to the Preliminary Finals, admission prices will be adults $15, concession/pensioners $10 and children under 15 free.
For the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final, admission prices will be adults $20, concession/pensioners $15 and children under 15 free.
