The Brisbane Lions have received a boost ahead of Saturday’s Round 1 clash against the Sydney Swans with a key duo confirmed as available for selection.
Defender Brandon Starcevich and ruck-forward Darcy Fort are both in the mix to face the Swans in the Grand Final re-match at the SCG.
Starcevich’s impending return could be one silver lining of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, as he would have missed Opening Round with concussion had it gone ahead
Fort has also recovered from a hamstring strain and will be yet another tall option for coach Chris Fagan to consider.
Darcy Gardiner and Tom Doedee continue to near closer to a return after both missing 2024 with ACL injuries, with youngster Luke Lloyd also on the comeback trail.
