Marco Paparone will play in the NEAFL on Saturday in his return from a persistent hamstring injury that has plagued the defender since last season.
"He's come off a long 6-7 month rehabilitation with his hamstring tendon," said Brisbane Lions Head of Medical Peter Blanch.
"He's trained really hard and we're looking forward to seeing him back playing this weekend."

Meanwhile Allen Christensen is expected be a month off from playing as he recovers from a broken collarbone.
The 25-year-old had a plate inserted in February.
"Allen still has a little way to go with his surgery (from a broken collarbone)."
"He's still be another 3-4 weeks."
In other news, Cian Hanley got through unscathed in his first Australian Rules match after two years in rehab - first with an ACL then groin problems.
