Hastings Deering will lift the Brisbane Lions in their third AFLW season after the two organisations announced their partnership today.
In return for their support of the team, Hastings Deering will have signage displayed at all games. Both organisations will collaborate around diversity and inclusion and continue developing pathways to increase female participation in our respective fields and markets.
To celebrate the announcement Lions vice-captain Kate Lutkins was on hand, with Vincent Cosgrove, Hastings Deering General Manager People and Lions Women’s CEO Breeanna Brock at the team’s training ground, Leyshon Park.
Lutkins is familiar with operating heavy machinery, as she often drives big trucks in her role as a member of the Australian Defence Force.
Brock said the team was thrilled to welcome Hastings Deering into the Lions AFLW family just before the start of the season.
“Hastings Deering is such a reputable company and we are so excited to have them come with us on our journey in 2019,” she said.
“Their support can help us lift to new heights.”
Cosgrove said that this partnership was important for Hastings Deering as it is part of their ‘Together as One’ program complimenting the company’s commitment to developing pathways to build and increase female participation in their respective markets.
“This competition provides us the perfect opportunity to reinforce our commitment to supporting women from all walks of life achieve their full potential,” Cosgrove said.
