2018 AFLW Rising Star nominee Sophie Conway has ruptured her ACL, ruling her out of the 2019 AFLW season.
Conway was spending time with family in Victoria and training with Richmond’s
Brisbane Lions Women’s CEO Breeanna Brock said the entire Club felt for the young forward.
“She’s a terrific kid and much loved within the team,” Brock said.
“She brings a great energy and sense of fun to the group.
“We are obviously devasted but the important thing to do now is to focus on her recovery.
"I’m sure the girls will get around her and support her through this tough time."
