Brisbane Lions ruckman Tahlia Randall has been nominated as a Round 6 AFL Women’s Rising Star.
Following her selection in the 2016 AFL Women’s Draft, Randall has provided the Lions with a cool and competitive head in the ruck and backline. Forming a strong unit with Leah Kaslar and Kate Lutkins, Randall showcased her ball skills and football knowledge in the Lions’ 14-point loss to Collingwood on Saturday.
From a volleyball background, Randall has made the switch to football seamlessly. Randall provides run through the lines and is able to play in the midfield as well as up forward.
Adelaide Crows key-position player Sarah Allan has also been nominated as a Rising Star for Round 6.
All AFLW players 21 years and under as at 1 January 2018 and who have not previously been nominated as a rising star qualify for consideration for the award.
