Daniel Rich says the Brisbane Lions can give the Western Bulldogs a "bit of a shake" on Saturday night if they rectify a few small things.
Fresh off their first win of the season against Gold Coast at the weekend, vice-captain Rich says the Lions now have more belief and will take that to Etihad Stadium.
For the first time in four weeks, they won the contested possession count against the Suns, and the result followed.
But there's one other area they need to fix against the 3-1 Bulldogs, says Rich.
"If we can be a bit more accurate early in the game and reward ourselves for the hard work we're putting in, it's going to go a long way as well," he said.
"To know we can play a good four quarters, contested good footy, is important and something we've been working on."
The Lions are ranked 16th for accuracy in front of goal through the opening month, converting just 42 percent of their shots, or 47.66 in simple terms.
They have the sixth most shots at goal but are ranked just 12th for average points a game.
They almost kicked themselves out of victory against the Suns with a woeful 14.23, but Rich says they can take confidence into playing the Bulldogs.
"They're a good team, especially at Etihad," he said.
"We're looking forward to getting down there and giving them a bit of a shake, and playing our footy and seeing how we match up on another one of the good sides.
"We've shown glimpses ... that we can play good footy.
"We're definitely up for the challenge."
Captain Tom Rockliff is expected to return after missing two weeks with a calf injury, while ruckman Stefan Martin continues to recover strongly from his concussion at the weekend.
