Lions Physical Performance Manager Brett Burton catches up with lions.com.au to give his weekly update on the Club’s injury list.

Josh Green
Josh suffered a high ankle strain during the Reserves game last week after getting tackled from behind. It has been assessed and it looks as though he will be out of action for around four weeks.

Callum Bartlett
Callum will train with the main group for the second consecutive week. Should he get through the week without any problems, then he should be available to play on Saturday. But we'll put him through a fitness test after our final training session.

Todd Banfield
Toddy has progressed well with his hamstring injury and should join the main group at training this week. We’ll see how he goes after main session to determine whether he'll be available for senior selection.

Mitch Clark
Mitch is progressing well. He’s up to around 70% running capacity now. All things going well, we should see him back in the side either next week or the week after.

Josh Drummond
Drummo has had a bit of bone bruising in his knee which has kept him out. He's back running well. We will gradually build up his training loads and get him through rehab. He's obviously missed a lot of training with his hiop and knee issues this season. So it's just a matter of us building up his fitness and reilience.

Daniel Rich
Daniel spent some time on crutches last week and has been bearing no weight on his foot. He'll stay in the moon boot for the next week to take the load off and allow the stress reaction to heal. We'll get a better indication of a return date when we bring him out of boot.

Daniel Merrett
Daniel is going along well with his rehab. He's back doing some bike sessions. We're actually scanning that injury again next week to see how its healing. We'll get a better understanding then.

Jamie Charman
After being out for so long, Charmo has had a minor setback with soft tissue injuries. We'll monitor that as he continues his rehab and running. We expect he might be available in a couple of weeks.

Ryan Lester and Claye Beams
Both are tracking along nicely although neither are doing running. Ryan is now weight-bearing and making some good progress while Beams remains in the boot. Both have already been ruled out for the season, but will continue their rehab in readiness for pre-season.
