DEVELOPMENT Coach Ben Hudson says the Lions must focus on consistent football as the Club prepares to take on Port Adelaide at the Gabba on Sunday.
“It’s about us putting four quarters together – Port obviously having been a quality side and a finals side for the past couple of years.
“We probably need to play a bit better than what we did against Carlton to get the result go our way.
“It’s about finding four quarters of consistent, competitive pressure footy.
“Contested ball has been crucial the past couple of weeks, we probably got nutted against the Blues in that department but if we can get on top early and maintain our dominance it will go a long way to deciding the outcome of the game.”
Stefan Martin and Matthew Leuenberger will combine again to take on the damaging ruck duo of Port's Matthew Lobbe and Patty Ryder.
“Ryder and Lobbe are obviously a new combination but if we can nullify their influence around stoppages and get on top in the midfield it will go a long way to winning the game”, Hudson said.
