The Brisbane Lions have acquired Sydney Swans premiership midfielder/forward Amon Buchanan, West Coast utility Brent Staker and Richmond defender Andrew Raines on day one of the AFL's Trade Week.

The Lions secured Buchanan and Staker as part of a three-team trade which saw Bradd Dalziell move home to Western Australia to join the Eagles.

In a complex swap of draft picks, the Lions also received West Coast's third round draft selection (Pick No.39 overall) but sent their second round draft selection (Pick No.28 overall) to Sydney.

The Lions then struck a deal with Richmond for Raines who returns home to Queensland in exchange for the Club's third round draft selection (Pick No.44 overall).
