The Lions have secured four new players, all completed in the second week of the 2015 AFL Trade Period.
Carlton’s Tom Bell and Geelong’s Josh Walker and Jarrad Jansen joined the Lions on Monday.
The Lions parted with picks 21 and 60 for pick 41 and Bell and received Walker and Jansen from Geelong in exchange for a future third round draft pick.
In the final hours of the trading period today, a deal was struck by the Lions to secure North Melbourne’s Ryan Bastinac and also involved the Club receiving Picks No.38 and 40 in this year’s NAB National Draft, as well as a future 2nd Round pick and a future 3rd Round pick.
The Club received pick No. 39 from the AFL as free agency compensation for Matthew Leuenberger last week.
Pick No. 17 received from the West Coast Eagles in exchange for Jack Redden (last Monday) was on-traded to North Melbourne.
As a part of a three way deal the Kangaroos then on traded their pick No. 26 to Collingwood resulting in James Aish being traded to the Magpies.
That means the Lions will go into next month’s player ballot with selections 2, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 78.

The Brisbane Lions currently hold picks 2, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 78 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.
