Calling all little Lionesses. We want to see you at our ‘Pretty like a Lion AFLW Clinic’. Empowered by the Pretty Foundation our AFLW team and AFLW CEO Breanna Brock will be running an evening targeted at young girls aged 4-8 and their parent or guardian. Through a series of informative and fun sessions we will be encouraging young lionesses to be body positive, have fun and get involved in footy.

CHARLIE’S TALES BOOK SESSION
“Charlie’s Tales Peggy and the Fantastic Football” aims to teach girls about how amazing their bodies are and what they can achieve. AFLW Brisbane Players will facilitate a Charlie’s Tales session which will include: - Book reading - Discussion questions - Activity sheets - Body confidence sharing circle.

PARENTS SESSION
Parents will be invited to attend a session whilst their daughters are undertaking the book session. Parents will also provide a body confidence resource to take home. The key speakers include: Merissa Forsyth, CEO, Pretty Foundation Merissa will provide tips and hints to equip parents to build body confidence in their daughters. Breeanna Brock, Women’s Football CEO, Brisbane Lions Breeanna will speak on how AFL and sport can play a significant role in the physical and mental health development of young girls.

TRAIN LIKE A LIONESS SESSION
Girls will be broken up into groups to undertake advanced skills and drills and team building exercises. which will be run by the AFLW Brisbane Lions players and team.

GUARD OF HONOUR & TRAINING
Each girl will be invited to form a guard of honour whilst the players run out for training. They will also be encouraged to stay around and watch the players train

FOOD & DRINKS
At the completion of the Train Like a Lioness Session, parents and girls will be invited to join us for a BBQ and a drink which will be hosted by NAB.
