Brisbane Lions utility Marco Paparone has agreed to a new two-year deal with the Club.
The 19-year-old, who was taken by the Lions with pick No.23 overall in the 2012 National Draft, has played 21 games for the Lions, including 16 in 2014.
Recruited from East Fremantle, Paparone made his debut for the Lions in Round 4 2012 - and was the team's leading goal-scorer in his first match, kicking three on debut (despite starting as the substitute).
Paparone joins a long list of Lions who have re-signed this year including housemates and fellow 2012 draftees, Sam Mayes and Michael Close.
Lions General Manager, Football Operations, Dean Warren, said:
“Marco is an emerging player with elite endurance. He is really beginning to establish himself in our side and we are excited about his future with the Club.
“Marco, Sam Mayes and Michael Close were all products of the 2012 draft and it is fantastic for the Club to have such an exciting crop of young talent all committed to the Brisbane Lions Football Club.
“It is going to be an exciting time for the Club as each of these players begin to establish themselves as AFL footballers and hopefully lead our Club to future success.”
