The life of former Brisbane Bears player and AFL Queensland Hall of Famer Troy Clarke will be commemorated next Thursday.

A service will be held on Thursday November 7, at the Newlife Uniting Church, Greenwich Dr, Robina at 1pm.

A wake will be held in Metricon Stadium following the service, starting at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to help support the Clarke family and aid in the setup of a Troy Clarke Scholarship fund to assist aspiring young footballers.

Clarke passed away on Monday October 28, aged only 44.

Clarkey will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, by the football community.
