Matt ‘Goose’ Maguire recently caught up with housemate Joel Patfull at a local New Farm cafe as part of his new regular segment on LIONS TV – ‘A Brew with Goose’.

Lions fans will get a light-hearted look at the players’ lives away from the Gabba, with Maguire set to ‘brew up’ with a range of teammates throughout the season.

In the first episode aired on Wednesday, ‘Goose’ chatted with Patfull over coffee about his tendency to make impulse purchases.

Apparently the reigning Club Champion’s relaxed habit covers a range of items – from clothes to cars.

“I never try anything on,” Patfull told Maguire.

“If it looks good (in the store), I’ll never try it on because it never looks as good (when you’re wearing it).

“So I just buy it and deal with it when I get home.”

Patfull also bought his current car ‘sight unseen’ after responding to an advertisement.

“I was desperate for a car so I called him up,” Patfull said.

“He was down the Coast, and I could be bothered going down there, so I said I’d take it and got him to drive it up here.”
