Brisbane Lions Vice-Captain will be sporting a new look when pre-season training kicks off early in November.

From the beginning of next month, Rockliff will be attempting to grow a moustache to help raise funds and awareness for the worthy ‘Movember’ cause.

It won’t be an easy task for the 23-year-old who confesses that he’s “no good” at growing facial hair.

But it’s all in the name of charity, and he certainly won’t be alone in sprouting a ‘Mo’, with millions of other people getting involved worldwide.

The initiative is designed to help raise vital funds and awareness for serious men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer, and mental health.

The cause is one that is close to Rockliff’s heart.

“A close friend of mine had four of his family members suffer from Prostate Cancer, so I wanted to get involved to help promote men’s health and research,” Rockliff told lions.com.au.

“All men should go and get regular health checks, regardless of how old you are.”

Lions fans can keep up-to-date with Rockliff’s ‘Mo’ progress and also donate towards his mission by visiting his official Movember online profile or by following him on Twitter (@rockwiz38).

“A number of Lions fans have already gotten behind me and I really appreciate their support,” Rockliff said.

“I’m expecting the ‘Mo’ might take a bit of time to get going, but I’m hoping it’s noticeable by the time we get back from Arizona.”
