Players thank mentor Voss
The Lions players have passed on their best wishes to Michael Voss
Voss sounded like a proud father when speaking of his players, and admitted that he won’t be able to help taking more than a keen interest in their ongoing development.
“That’s the investment you make in these guys,” Voss said.
“You see Justin Clarke come through, I’ll be really interested to see how he goes, and how Daniel Rich evolves into an elite midfielder.
“I’ve loved watching Pearce Hanley and the way he’s developed. If he’s not an All-Australian (this year), he will become an All-Australian.
“Then there’s Sam Mayes coming through…you could just go on and on.
“I’m still going to take an interest (in them), because I’ve invested time into these guys.”
The admiration was mutual from his players, who flocked to Twitter immediately following the media conference to give thanks to their ‘mentor’.
Below are a collection of the Tweets from Lions players from this afternoon.
