As the Club continues to celebrate 10-years since its hat-trick of flags from 2001-2003, it’s worth mentioning that Jack Redden is closing in on a 3-Peat of his own.

Reddo is the undisputed king of AFL Dream Teams at the Lions. He topped the table in each of the past two seasons, and is slowly gaining ground on the Club’s current leader, Tom Rockliff.

Rocky’s finished second for the past couple of years and is getting mighty nervous about being overtaken by his good mate once again.

He still holds a 30-point buffer, but it has been whittled down significantly over the past couple of weeks.

It also doesn’t help that he’s out of Friday night’s game with a quad injury. Thankfully he reckons he’ll only miss the one game and will be back after the Bye.

Back-to-back scores of 119 and 93 suggest Reddo is back in Fantasy form and should be seriously looked at if you don’t already have him in your team.

He’ll only cost you around $470,000 after dropping $60K in the first nine weeks, and probably won’t be this cheap again all year. He racks up close to 40 points per week in tackles alone!

You should also keep an eye on Pearce Hanley, who is averaging more points than any other Lions player (97.75), but that one-week suspension means he’s only fourth overall in terms of total points.

But the way he’s going, Pearce could jump both Rocky and Reddo and take the AFL Fantasy title this year.

He has the third highest average of any defender in the AFL behind Garrick Ibbotson (106 points per game) and Brendon Goddard (105.2 points per game), and is in 35,000 teams (including mine).

If you didn’t get on him early, then you’ll have to fork out around $470,000 now if you want to draft him into your team.

I now have seven Lions players in my AFL Dream Team, which I have just realised will ruin me come the Bye round.

What’s worse is that I’m about to make it eight with Stakes ripe for the picking this week.

After taking a quick glance at my team, it seems that half of them will have the designated week off in Round 11! Thankfully I’ve still got a couple of weeks till then to try and trade some blokes out and limit the damage.
